The deepest blues are black. Surfing and spending years in the ocean are captured in the layered tension in this water piece. I painted this over a weeks time coming back to it at times of reflection on the tried to capture the overwhelming nature of life. The glimmer of hope across this water is a reminder that no matter how turbulent life becomes there is always calm seas ahead - the ocean can't rage forever.

Painting was updated to have the left and right sides painted and finished.
