Water No. 4 represents my first pure oil on canvas piece, which is a stray from my traditional work on reclaimed wood. I loved creating this piece and found working with Oils to be a more natural compliment to the feeling of moving through water.

Painting the ocean is always a reflection of my time in the Ocean. The ocean is the greatest teacher in the world. You feel alone and isolated, while at the same time completely alive and a part of something so much bigger than yourself.
