Portals. When meditation opens the minds eye and we see the same thing from a different perspective.

The veil has been thin this week for me. I created this work and Sea Meditation No. 6 at the same time. When I make sea meditations I apply color based by bringing to mind a memory or emotion and then showing this emotion through form and color. Trying to speak without words.

I found myself creating these portals to show the same scene but at a different time of day or perhaps in a different plane.
So so difficult to capture the colors of these with a photo.

Sea Meditation 5 and 6 are both 48” x 60”, oil on canvas and in a private collection of a dear friend.
