Water No. 40

My interpretation of thumping, perfect Vland on the North Shore of Oahu. We lived in walking distance of this wave and I spent many days sufing this infamous place with the reef scars to prove it. . Named after the legendary surfer Dale Velzy, V-Land is not for the faint of heart. This piece is a meditative tribute to the sacred powerful energy of the North Shore, where water and light converge in quiet, perfect harmony.

The original painting was made in 2016 and is 18" x 24" Oil on birch wood box canvas.
